Media Pool: your next step is close at hand

The file is ready. Now you need to listen to it, run another operation, or find it on disk. This is often where a small folder expedition begins: “Did it save here? Or am I looking at yesterday’s version?”

AudioFlow collects finished results in Media Pool. From there, you can audition a file, drag it onto another tile, or reveal it in Finder.

To hear a particular passage, start playback and click the position you want on the seek bar. Perhaps you want to hear the vocal entrance halfway through a processed recording. Jump to a little before that point so you can hear it in context. There is no need to sit through the entire intro every time, however proud you are of it.

For another operation in AudioFlow, drag the result from Media Pool onto the appropriate tile. That saves finding the exported file on disk just to bring it back into the app.

If your next stop is another application, reveal the file in Finder. You can locate the exact result you have just heard and continue working with it.

It becomes a small habit: listen, decide, continue. Jumping to a passage helps answer a specific question; leave time for a complete listen when assessing the whole recording.

Media Pool is useful in those little gaps between tasks. Your result is ready, and the next step is close at hand.
